JavaScript: Designing a Language in 10 Days (2012) (computer.org)

This is some stupid straw man for haters to attack. That first 10 day version of the language was super defective and never released. Contrary to what the article says the first public release of the language was 3 months later after massive refactors.

The biggest things the language got wrong, besides the corrected defects, were intentional design decisions to make the language friendly and forgiving to non-programmers. The biggest defect to persist past Netscape 2 was that functions could not be nested until version 1.3.
