US imports 22% of its cement

I'm assuming this isn't for national security reasons, probably more to help the domestic industry deal with tariffs. I hope Meta used their extensive connections to the government.
Given the model is several years old, I assume this write up with its focus on incorporating domestic materials is so Mark Zuckerberg has something “America First” to point to next time he meets with Trump.
This is not to denigrate the work—experimental design can be a huge force multiplier and making it more accessible to people on the ground is a great thing to do. One of my favorite grad school courses was an experimental design class with four students where we spent about half of the semester doing real life experimental design for a chemistry phd student who was trying (and mostly failing, before we got involved) to create a molecular filter with specific properties.
If your body is in good shape, stopping exercise won't make you deteriorate that quickly. What I wonder is, will people get in good shape in the first place.
What I mean is as someone with lots of experience, I don't care about me not learning about the basics anymore as much as someone in their 20s and 30s maybe should.
Not sure what you mean by quickly. Back when I was in racing shape, if I stopped my training plan for as little as two weeks, (probably less actually, but I'm being conservative here) I would have a measurable drop in fitness.
Now, as someone who regularly walks the dog and bikes to work, I've got "less to lose" and probably wouldn't deteriorate as much.
Might be quicker to detect disturbances using audio too rather than video only, think of ShotSpotter. Sounds made up though and probably either a way to spy or chill speech.

This has always been quintessential Mac for me. First thing I noticed people do on macs much more than PCs was not expanding the windows. Windows are always just floating around. There's no equivalent to the maximize button, it's funny but I don't even know anymore what that "maximize" button on macs does but I remember it's not what I would expect.
